In crafting the new visual identity, we set forth three foundational pillars that underpin Gratitude Railroad's mission and values: 

The new visual identity is rooted in a commitment to inspire positive change. The intention is to stir a sense of purpose and drive action with vibrant colors, custom handmade illustration, and human-centered imagery.

A new visual identity and website provided an opportunity to showcase Gratitude Railroad's track record and expertise championing innovative businesses that generate compelling returns and enduring impact. The new website includes a more thoughtful investments section that captures the diversity of their portfolio. 

We recognize the transformative power of an inspired and committed community in driving positive change. The new visual identity and website showcases their unique community-driven investing model – and the ways in which investors, fund managers, entrepreneurs, and ecosystem partners enhance the strength of their investments and the impact of the community.

We seek to capture the energy of the human spirit, real people, and a thriving planet through natural and bright photography. The photos elevate various themes and concepts, from the collaborative power that propels us forward to the mesmerizing world of nature intertwined with innovative ideas.

Gratitude Railroad

In partnership with Spotify and producer Lauren Lumsden, we created visual trailers for the podcast series: With Love, Youth Dispatches, Pride, and Mental Health Day.

The Knight Foundation and Show of Force invited us to build a website that would showcase the diversity of nonvoters and the various reasons offered for not voting.

The 100 Million Campaign poses the critical question of why 100 million Americans decide not to vote. This study surveyed 12,000 chronic non-voters nationally and in 10 swing states, soliciting their views, attitudes and behaviors on a wide range of topics.

This research was created as a digital campaign to illuminate the challenges that need to be addressed if disengaged voters are to be enticed to the polls. It aims to inform and educate voters, provide a rich background and additional findings from the research efforts through the form of short video content, social media posts, and engagement through the website.

100 Million Project

Smart Sitting is a nanny agency that provides personalized childcare connection.

We developed an app that helps families and sitters easily connect, schedule, and plan childcare. 

We helped to strategize, define and design the core MVP, develop wireframes, user testing, build low & high fidelity prototypes, gather user feedback, and partner with engineers. Thinking critically about the experience, user flows, and the mindsets of both families and sitters, we crafted an experience designed to bring confidence and connection in the booking process. 

We helped to identify the many different ways families and sitters may interact, designed components that make the user journey seamless and provided a convenient and trustworthy way to handle end-to-end bookings.

Smart Sitting

Following the 2016 US presidential election, America seemed more fractured than ever before. It was a reckoning of “What is America?” Lifetime set out to provide a fresh perspective to differing political, social and economic views. With an all-female production team Cousins Company, they produced 25 short films, photo essays, and audio stories that capture conflicting identities throughout the country.

 and social-media strategist Ellen Knuti to create animated social media graphics, illustrations for the audio stories and develop animated photo essays.

Her America

Black Women for Wellness Action Project (BWWAP) is an advocacy organization whose work moves public policy forward, elects leaders who prioritize Black women’s needs, shifts culture through media and storytelling, and empowers community members to engage in the fight for equity and justice.

We developed the visual identity that was then translated into a digital experience which encompasses campaign work, voting guides and the organization's policy priorities.

The Urban Justice Center—Safety Net Project

. The project is a foldout poster and guide that provides homeless New Yorkers with critical information about their rights in the shelter system and the different programs available to help them find affordable, permanent housing. The poster is also available in Spanish.

Over a hundred thousand people find themselves in the NYC shelter system every year. Along with the stress and emotional toll that’s caused by homelessness, these individuals must also navigate the daily challenges of shelter living and are often vulnerable to unjust treatment from shelter staff and unsuitable living conditions.

We worked closely with Safety Net Project staff, volunteers

and CUP staff on many iterations of the design to test and ensure that the design and information was accessible, accurate and well-organized for those who would be using this resource. The Safety Net project is distributing the guide throughout the city at food pantries, libraries, and shelters with their network of partner organizations working with homeless New Yorkers.

California Green New Deal Coalition

Courage California Institute empowers Californians by providing the resources needed to participate in the democratic process and create change.

We worked closely with Courage California’s team to design and develop a website for their initiative to support voters and future voters in navigating the electoral process. The website features an easy-to-navigate resource where users can register to vote, sign up for updates on state and county voting procedures, get reminders of key dates, and find answers to frequently asked questions.
